Much has been written about why teachers leave, but from my perspective within education I see a number of issues ...
Teachers leaving for many reasons
I find it very interesting that many early career teachers are leaving the profession. I think it’s something that many of us have realised for some time, and it is now confirmed by data based on research conducted by Dr Philip Riley. According to this research between 40 and 50 per cent of early career teachers leave the profession within the first five years. It’s a worrying trend.
