Noisy and disruptive: Disciplinary climate in Oz maths classes compares poorly

The disciplinary climate of Australian maths classrooms is one of the worst amongst comparable countries across the OECD, and our student outcomes are suffering because of it, new PISA analysis has suggested.

One quarter of 15-year-olds said students ‘could not work well’ in maths classes, and nearly one third said they didn’t start working for a long time after lessons had started.
