Council removes private school's front gate following months-long standoff

Yarra City Council removed a local private school's front gate last night, following months of debate.

The Council wanted the gate removed to free up access to the nearby Darebin Creek Trail – a popular walking track.

The council had previously ordered Alphington Grammar School to remove the gate, which prevented public access to Old Heidelberg Road ...
