Location: Middlesbrough Start: ASAP Contract: Short‑term and Long‑term Opportunities

Pay: £95-£110 p/day Hours: Full‑time and Part‑time Available

Veritas Education are proud to be working with a vibrant, innovative and highly supportive special school in Middlesbrough, seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a wide range of complex needs.

The school caters for pupils with SLD, PMLD and complex learning disabilities, offering a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Supporting children and young people with severe and profound learning difficulties
  • Working as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team
  • Providing personalised support both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting with communication, learning activities and daily routines
  • Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils
  • Who We're Looking For

    We welcome applications from individuals with experience such as:

  • SEND Teaching Assistants
  • Support workers or carers from complex care settings
  • Professionals with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Experience working with SLD, PMLD or complex learning disabilities is highly desirable, although the right attitude and commitment are equally important.

  • Requirements

  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (If you don't have one, we can support you with the application)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant experience supporting children or young people
