Veritas Education is recruiting a SEND Teacher on behalf of a Secondary SEMH School in the Dorking area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

⚠️ Please note: The school is located in a remote area, therefore candidates will more than likely need to be drivers with access to their own vehicle.

    • SEND Teacher - Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • Create a calm, safe and structured learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support engagement and progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and external professionals

    • Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students (desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • High levels of resilience, patience and flexibility
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Clear commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
