The Role

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons or adapt learning to meet pupil needs
  • Support students with a range of SEND, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and learning difficulties
  • Create a calm, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour using appropriate SEND and safeguarding strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff

    • Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist settings)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
