Why all children should be taught the scientific method

The most important contribution of science to everyday life is its method. The scientific method is an objective approach that opposes our usual subjective one. Thus it enables us to see the world as it really is, not how we would like it to be. Every child should be taught how to use it to avoid being convinced by spurious arguments that have no rational basis.
