Consent is not a dirty or taboo word, we use it in almost all our interactions in everyday life and just like everything else, it is a skill that needs to be practiced, similar to the likes of algebra or touch typing and so should be included in school curriculums.
We desperately need to start challenging our societal attitudes and providing our young people with clear, open and honest sex and consent education that is inclusive, diverse and reflective of how we want our society to discuss these topics.
