Waste Sorted: one school’s extraordinary efforts championing sustainability

A little school with a big heart and a school-community-wide willingness to roll up its collective sleeves has powered its way to a memorable win in the ‘School Waste’ section of WA’s 2023 Waste Sorted Awards.

Also a finalist last year, this year South Coogee Primary has been recognised for its whole school sustainability initiatives including composting, worm farming, waste free days and recycling an impressively wide range of materials.
