The proportion of Australian students who regularly attend school has sunk to a new low, in what one expert says is part of a clear and consistent decline in attendance across all states and year levels.
“I think it's very clear from the declines that we've seen over time that the toolkit schools currently have at their disposal is not enough," Kirsten Hancock said.
