‘A wake-up call’: Study finds Year 12 maths participation at alarming low

Year 12 students are turning their backs on maths, with data showing enrolments in the subject have dived to an ‘alarming’ new low.

In 2020, only 26.8 per cent of students in Year 12 studied maths to at least an intermediate level, compared to 30.6 per cent in 2019 and 34.9 per cent in 2008.
