More virus-led school shutdowns likely

The Australian government is weighing its response after Italy declared a country-wide travel ban for its 60 million-strong population due to the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected more than 110,000 people worldwide.

Three schools in NSW and Victoria will be shut today after 3 students tested positive to COVID-19.

"This is obviously a very significant development," federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said on Tuesday.
