First Year Out: Tom Davis
For Tom Davis, a rather arduous work experience stint at an accounting firm clarified a few things for the now 22-year-old educator: Firstly, accounting was definitely NOT his career calling, and secondly, teaching young children the skills they need to succeed in life would be an infinitely more stimulating option. Currently in his first year at Montmorency South Primary School in Victoria, the passionate Year 4 teacher says he is drawing motivation from those ‘light bulb’ moments that occur in his classroom.
