Ditch the expectations: Survey reveals stigma still a barrier to seeking help
New research released last Wednesday has found two in five young Australians prefer to deal with their emotional problems alone – many doing so because they’re worried about what others might think.
In the campaign, Tarakes, pictured above, encourages teens to draw on headspace’s online mental health professionals, peer group chats, work and study support and more if they need help, and to ‘ditch the expectations and just keep working on you’.
