Dr Pam Ryan is no stranger to staffroom politics, beginning her career as a secondary teacher before moving up into school and district leadership roles. Over that time she witnessed fantastic leadership, but also the kind which is toxic to the entire school environment. Her doctoral studies investigate what destructive leadership in schools looks like and she chatted to EducationHQ about her findings.
