The pervasive learning styles myth shapes teachers’ and parents' beliefs about students’ potential and influences children's own perception of how intelligent they are, ‘concerning’ new research has found.
The study found parents, teachers and children rated those students described as ‘visual learners’ as more intelligent than those described as ‘hands-on learners’.
