We've all had them in our class: the students who demand your attention constantly, who won’t let you look at their work ever or who can never focus on the work, no matter how much you break it down for them.

Knowing the patterns of behaviour can help classroom teachers to develop strategies to reassure each child and allow them to access learning.

These aren’t a random set of behaviours teachers just have to accept, but examples of young people displaying different forms ...
