Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to join a supportive school environment and inspire students to develop their literacy, communication, and analytical skills.

Opportunities are available for an immediate start or from September, and applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop a love for literature and language while achieving their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
