Veritas Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Dewsbury to recruit a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to join a supportive department and make a meaningful impact on students' progress and engagement in English.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high expectations
  • Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional needs
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 essential)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing
