UN launches school meals initiative in bid to boost global nutrition

A new initiative by the United Nations is seeking to improve nutrition standards for school meals.

The project will emphasise ‘community ownership’, including through strengthening mechanisms allowing students and parents to report non-compliance with nutrition standards.
