Teachers' union demands Govt deliver on school funding election promise
The Australian Education Union (AEU) has issued an ultimatum to the Albanese Government, demanding that all public schools reach 100 per cent of the Schooling Resource Standard (SRS) in the next five years.
“During the 2022 federal election, the Labor Party promised to deliver a ‘pathway’ to full funding for public schools. Today, we are making clear where that pathway needs to end," AEU head Correna Haythorpe said.
