Shane lectures in curriculum studies, physical education and sport pedagogy at Flinders University. He has been program coordinator for the Secondary Education degree programs, Research Higher Degrees, and the Sport, Health and Physical Education discipline, and published over 150 scholarly and academic papers. Shane is a multiple award winning teacher and coach educator, including a prestigious Australian OLT Award for Teaching Excellence. Previously, Shane worked for 18 years as a science and physical education teacher in schools in Perth and Adelaide; holding leadership positions including HPE Coordinator, Sport Coordinator, Year Level Coordinator, Director of School Administration, and Deputy Principal.

Brendon is Course Director of Postgraduate Studies in Education (Post-initial teaching qualifications) in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Charles Sturt University and Senior Lecturer in Personal, Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) in the School of Education on the Albury-Wodonga campus. Brendon is a qualified school teacher with postgraduate qualifications in higher education teaching and leadership, alongside a PhD from RMIT University in Melbourne. Alongside holding a number of university leadership positions, Brendon has published over 100 scholarly and academic papers with extensive engagement from his research via mainstream media (including multiple television appearances).

Vaughan Cruickshank is a Lecturer in Health and Physical Education (HPE) at University of Tasmania and is currently Course Coordinator of the BEd(HPE) and BEd(Science/Maths) programs. He teaches a variety of practical and theoretical subjects to predominantly BEd(HPE) students and is also closely involved in the BEd(HPE) and BEd(Science/Maths) Professional Experience programs. Vaughan’s research interests include the challenges faced by male primary teachers, student centred approaches to HPE teaching, and the potential use of technology to enhance HPE teaching.
