Even after scouring a dictionary, it’s hard to find a word that seems worthy of introducing the latest National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEiTA) recipients. For their students, “awesome” or simply “the best” might suffice, but having been selected from more than 1100 nominations from across the nation to claim the prestigious honour, it goes without saying that each of the 12 winning educators sit at the very pinnacle of their profession.
