Australia exposed children to harm during the COVID pandemic by endorsing online learning products without safeguarding students’ privacy, according to international advocacy organisation Human Rights Watch.
Many of the children and parents interviewed for the report told Human Rights Watch they did not recall ever being asked for their consent or informed of how their rights might be affected when told to adopt specific EdTech products.
