Position Information

Randwick High School, established in 2025, marked the beginning of a new era for public education in the Eastern Suburbs area. Founded in a rich heritage of public education, we draw strength in our diverse and engaged learning community. Our school serves approximately 1500 students, and celebrates its inclusivity, catering for students of all needs and many cultural backgrounds (including 58% from language backgrounds other than English and 3% that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander). General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, 

1. Approval to teach English 7-12, including English Extension courses with demonstrated capacity to lead and develop colleagues to plan, implement & differentiate evolving curriculums.

2. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data driven, evidence-based teaching initiatives, that improve student success, engagement and outcomes.

3. Demonstrated capacity to lead and inspire a faculty culture of high expectations, professional growth and collaboration that supports the learning needs of a diverse range of students, including high potential and gifted learners.

4. Proven ability to be a dynamic member of the school executive leadership team and to lead initiatives that address whole school strategic directions and productive relationships across the school community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
