Position Information
Carlingford High School, (enrolment 1920 students, including 84% from a non-English speaking background) is a comprehensive, co-educational school, with a strong commitment to and expectation of excellence. General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
1. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach English 7-10 and English 11-12. Willingness and capacity to teach Extension 1 and 2.
2. Demonstrated high-level educational leadership skills with the proven capacity to establish, lead and co-manage a diverse English faculty, cultivating a collaborative and high performing team environment to drive excellence in teaching and learning for students from Years 7 to 12.
3. Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with demonstrated capacity to effectively coordinate faculty systems and processes, lead the implementation of the new Stage 6 syllabuses, build the capacity of staff and generate a shared vision of excellence that ensures measurable improvement in student learning outcomes.
4. A highly visible and approachable leader with the proven capacity to be a collaborative and dynamic member of the executive team to lead whole-school continuous improvement, including explicit teaching and literacy instruction in a comprehensive, high-performing high school.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
