About the Role:

The Communications and Community Relations Officer play an important role in supporting Foxwell State Secondary College's strategic priorities by strengthening communication, engagement and partnerships with students, families, staff and the broader community. The role contributes to the promotion of the college's vision, achievements, programmes and opportunities through clear, timely and engaging communication across a range of channels.

Responsibilities Include:

Working collaboratively with the Principal, Executive team and staff, the officer will:

  • Manage the development of whole of school brand marketing, manage and implement information evenings, communication strategies and initiatives to promote key aspects of the school and assist with promotional launches and events.
  • You will prepare communication and press releases, develop relationships with media organisations coordinate community engagement activities, and support initiatives that enhance the college's profile, reputation and connection with its community. The role also helps ensure communication is consistent, professional and aligned with the strategic direction of both the college and the Department of Education.

This position is suited to a proactive and organised professional with strong communication and relationship management skills, as well as high-level written communication skills, including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the ability to produce clear, professional correspondence and maintain legible, well-presented handwritten records where required.
