About the Role:
Working as part of a collaborative facilities team, you will take pride in ensuring the school's outdoor areas and grounds are maintained to a high standard while contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.
This role offers the opportunity to use your practical skills and initiative to make a valued difference every day while being part of a team dedicated to supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain school grounds, gardens, ovals and outdoor facilities.
- Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers, tractors, hedge trimmers and other machinery.
- Undertake mowing, edging, trimming and general grounds maintenance.
- Complete sports field and oval line marking.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems.
- Carry out fertilising and weed control programs.
- Identify, report and respond to maintenance, safety and operational issues.
- Assist with routine facilities maintenance and support school events as required.
- Maintain accurate records, registers and documentation using school computer systems and established processes.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has practical grounds and maintenance experience.
- Can work independently and manage routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance and safety issues.
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining professional standards.
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team.
- Has basic computer skills and confidence using digital systems for record keeping and administrative tasks.
- Is dependable, organised and committed to supporting the school community.

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
