Teachers walk off the job at yet another NSW school

A major teacher shortage in rural New South Wales shows no signs of abating, with South Grafton High School the latest school to be hit by walkouts.

According to a NSWTF-commissioned report, in order to meet enrolment growth and lower NSW’s student-to-teacher ratio to the national average, the state would need to recruit nearly 14,000 additional teachers by 2031.
