Teacher strike closes schools across Tasmania

Tasmanian teachers walked off the job today amid a pay dispute with the State Government.

Education Minister Roger Jaensch last week described the decision to strike as “disturbing”.

Almost all of the state’s public schools closed from 12.15pm today as teachers participated in stop work action.
