Call for immediate pay rise rejected by Ministry

A call from secondary school principals and teachers for an immediate five per cent pay rise to retain current teachers and attract new ones has been rejected by the Ministry of Education.

Educators originally voted for the move back in October at the Post Primary Teachers’ Association (PPTA) annual conference.
