Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a Qualified Teaching Assistant to work within secondary schools across the Blackburn area, with an immediate start available.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential. This role involves supporting students both in and out of the classroom, working closely with teaching staff, and assisting pupils with varying learning needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group intervention support.
  • Assisting students with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
  • Supporting classroom management and pupil engagement.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.

    • Requirements:

  • Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive, flexible and professional approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
