SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Full-Time, Long-Term Role

About the Role
Veritas Education is recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Bradford area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. The role will involve supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
The school is looking for a committed individual who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needsSupport students in lessons across KS3 and KS4Assist with implementing EHCP targets and support plansHelp students manage social, emotional, and behavioural challengesPromote positive behaviour and engagement in learningWork collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCOs, and pastoral teamsSupport the development of students' confidence, independence, and life skillsMonitor progress and provide feedback to relevant staffFollow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all timesThe Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirableBackgrounds in education, care, youth work, residential care, mentoring, or support work are welcomedPatient, resilient, and empathetic approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in challenging situationsPassionate about supporting young people to succeedCommitted to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleWhat the School Offers
