Secondary Teaching Assistant - Day-to-Day & Short-Term Cover Blackburn | Veritas Education | Flexible Work Available

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in secondary schools across Blackburn? Veritas Education is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support a range of local secondary schools on a day-to-day and short-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want the flexibility to choose when and where they work while gaining experience in a variety of school settings.

The Role:

  • Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Providing classroom support to teachers and pupils
  • Working with small groups and individual students
  • Assisting students with additional learning needs where required
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Supporting pupils both academically and pastorally

    • Requirements:

  • Recent experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
