About the Role:

As a Teacher Aide in the Inclusion / Support Unit, the successful applicant will work closely with teachers to support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they are able to access and participate in classroom programs.

In this role, you will assist with the implementation of differentiated learning, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help create a calm, inclusive and well-organised learning environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is patient, flexible and committed to supporting all students to succeed.

The successful applicant will have a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional needs and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers to ensure all students can access and participate in learning.

This role is focused on supporting students who require additional assistance to access the curriculum. You will work alongside teachers to help students engage in learning, build confidence and develop independence in a supportive, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students requiring additional assistance to access the curriculum;
  • Work with individual students and small groups to support learning, including literacy and numeracy;
  • Assist teachers to implement differentiated learning programs and classroom activities;
  • Support students with engagement, organisation, communication and social skills;
  • Assist with personal care where required, with appropriate training;
  • Help maintain consistent and supportive behaviour expectations;
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources;
  • Supervise students during class, transitions, playground and excursions;
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Experience working with students who require additional learning support (highly regarded);

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to take initiative;
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion and student success
