About the Role
As a School Supervisor – Capability, you will lead the design, delivery, and impact of capability development across a portfolio of schools. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will provide support to principals and supervise school improvement coaches, driving an integrated and evidence-informed approach to professional learning, leadership development, and school improvement.

You will play a key system leadership role, ensuring capability initiatives are aligned to system priorities, responsive to local context, and delivering measurable improvements in teaching, leadership, and student outcomes.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on developing others, leading through influence, and driving system-wide improvement at scale.

About You

You are a highly capable educational leader with a strong track record of building leadership capability and improving school performance. You bring deep expertise in teaching and learning and know how to translate strategy into meaningful development for school leaders and leadership teams.

This looks like:

  • Demonstrated success improving teaching and learning outcomes at a school or system level.
  • Strong instructional leadership, with a clear understanding of evidence-based school improvement practices.
  • Confidence using data and evidence to identify priorities and target capability initiatives.
  • The ability to influence, mentor and challenge principals and school leadership teams
  • Experience leading governance of education performance capability
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
  • Strong judgement, with the ability to navigate complexity and respond to emerging needs

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
