About the Role
Reporting to the School Supervisor, you will work in close partnership to lead a portfolio of small schools. You will supervise principals and monitor educational outcomes across schools, including state-delivered kindergartens where applicable.
To deliver on our vision: Excellence in every state school through our focus areas of educational achievement and belonging and engagement (Brighter futures education strategy), you will work closely with small school principals to support performance, strengthen leadership, and improve student outcomes.

About You
You're an experienced school leader who understands the realities and uniqueness of leading small schools and the communities they service.
You will bring to the role:
- Proven experience leading teaching and learning to improve student outcomes
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within small schools
- The ability to build trust, influence and support principals through both opportunity and challenge
- Confidence using data, evidence and insight to guide decision-making and improvement
- Sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex situations
- Experience in school governance, including workforce, resources and planning
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams to broker effective support
You're practical, adaptable and solutions-focused, motivated by making a difference across small schools.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
