Veritas Education is currently recruiting for an experienced and organised School Administrator to support secondary schools across Kirklees. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional administrator who thrives in a busy school environment and is passionate about providing outstanding support to staff, pupils, and parents.

As the first point of contact within the school office, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative functions while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the school's reception area and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and updating school databases.
  • Supporting attendance administration, including monitoring absences and producing reports.
  • Assisting with admissions, enrolment processes, and student records.
  • Preparing letters, reports, and other administrative documentation.
  • Managing appointments, meetings, and school calendars.
  • Supporting staff with administrative tasks and data entry.
  • Ensuring compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and data protection regulations.

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a school office or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • A professional, approachable, and confidential attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Veritas Education.
