Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join a range of welcoming independent nursery settings across Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early years education and want to work in nurturing environments where children are supported to learn, develop, and thrive. We are looking for candidates with previous early years experience, with Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications preferred.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be an important part of the nursery team, helping to create engaging learning experiences, supporting children's development, and ensuring every child receives high-quality care in a safe and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through creative play and engaging activities
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting children's individual needs and development
  • Assisting with observations, assessments, and learning journeys
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating nursery environment
  • Supporting daily routines and ensuring children's wellbeing
  • Following safeguarding procedures and promoting children's welfare at all times
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting preferred
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework (or willingness to develop knowledge)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for helping children grow and succeed
