Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to support a variety of welcoming nursery settings across Wakefield.

We are seeking both qualified (Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years) and unqualified candidates with relevant childcare or nursery experience to join our growing team. With a range of placements available, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working hours, whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning and development, creating engaging activities, and helping to provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Assisting with observations and learning journeys
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Supporting daily routines and nursery activities
  • Following safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times

    • Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential
  • Unqualified candidates with relevant nursery, childcare, or early years experience are encouraged to apply
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine passion for working with children
