Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Position | 30 hours per week

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience - Graduate $86,600 to Lead Teacher $147,048 FTE Gross per annum + 12.75% super

About the Role

Our Lady Help of Christians School, Earlville, is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time, Permanent Intervention Teacher - Learning & Teaching.

As an Intervention Teacher - Learning & Teaching, you will:

Support the Principal and staff in ensuring high expectations for the learning progress and achievement of students and works within whole-school initiatives to address the diverse needs of students through a culture of inclusiveness and focuses on the holistic growth and development of each student.

The Intervention Teacher – Learning and Teaching contributes to the quality of educational outcomes of the Catholic school. The role holder enhances teacher capacity and effectiveness by using a range of strategies, but not limited to, modelling high-quality teaching and learning across the school, mentoring and coaching, professional learning, collaboration and cooperation. The role holder has a pivotal role in supporting teachers within the school to ensure the delivery of improved educational outcomes for students is consistent with the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns Strategic Directions, School Annual Improvement Plan and other key system and school strategies.

The Intervention Teacher – Learning and Teaching, in collaboration with the school leadership team, analyses data to contribute to school level decisions and initiatives that are responsive to the needs of students.

Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.
