Engadine High School is a large and vibrant comprehensive high school with a culture of achievement and educational excellence, fostered by a supportive learning environment. Our enrolment numbers are 1050 students, including 35 (3%) of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.

We seek a Head Teacher, Teaching & Learning, who can contribute to a collaborative whole school environment, working closely with the existing Head Teacher - Teaching & Learning, Executive and Senior Executive. This role will be fundamental to the design and delivery of sustained and quality professional learning. and activities that support teachers' abilities to deliver high quality instruction that improves all student outcomes.

- Demonstrated capacity to establish and sustain productive relationships through effective communication and collaboration with students, staff, parents, senior executive and the wider school community.
- Proven ability to lead, implement and evaluate strategic whole-school initiatives that enhance teaching, learning and staff professional practice through high-quality professional learning.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead whole-school attendance practices through the consistent implementation of departmental policy and procedures, using data-informed strategies to improve student engagement and attendance outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading whole-school planning, evaluation and continuous improvement through the development, implementation and review of strategic documentation, systems and evidence-informed practices.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
