Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy is a senior campus proudly located on Darkinjung land. As educational leaders we create inclusive learning environments that prepare students for an ever-changing world. The Woy Woy Campus caters for students in Years 10-12 and provides flexible access to opportunities including more than 50 senior courses, Health Services training, sporting academies, multiple recording studios and over 9 vocational courses. We have six special education classes. The Woy Woy Campus has an enrolment of 680 students including 19% identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and 4% of students with a language background other than English. We pride ourselves on a positive school culture to ensure all students are welcomed, celebrated and supported through a range or funded programs such as the Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre, Student Services and a Careers and Transition hub.

General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, 
  1. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of the school executive team to drive evidence-based teaching initiatives related to the school's strategic excellence plan, system targets and the implementation of DoE policies that have sustained impact on positive student growth
  2. Demonstrated capacity to lead Stage 5 and 6 HSIE programs, fostering student achievement and staff development while effectively supporting the diverse learning needs of all students.
  3. Proven ability to drive HSC growth and improve student outcomes through effective use of data and evidence-based practices.
  4. Ability to lead and promote high-quality teaching and learning, informed by data analysis and ongoing professional learning.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
