About the Role
In this role, you will:

  • Lead statewide strategic initiatives relating to assistive technologies for students with disability.
  • Lead a small team of teachers in assistive technology across the state.
  • Provide high-level advice and support to schools, regional teams, and central office departmental staff regarding assistive technology research, practices, systems, and implementation.
  • Coordinate and maintain statewide communication and resource platforms, including the management and ongoing development of SharePoint sites and digital collaboration spaces.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor statewide processes, resources, and professional learning opportunities.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support equitable access and inclusive educational outcomes.
  • Analyse emerging trends, technologies, and evidence-based practices to inform departmental priorities and decision-making.
  • Support statewide consistency in service delivery, communication pathways, and information sharing.

About You:
We are seeking a motivated and innovative leader who demonstrates:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of assistive technologies and inclusive education practices for students with disability.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading projects, managing competing priorities, and coordinating statewide initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and digital capability, including experience managing SharePoint or similar online collaboration platforms.
  • The ability to work autonomously while fostering strong partnerships across geographically dispersed teams.
  • A commitment to improving educational outcomes and access for students with disability.

Additional Information:

  • This is a statewide role and may require travel, including overnight travel, across Queensland.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undertake travel to schools, regional offices, and departmental sites as part of service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
