As the Head of Department - English & Humanities you are responsible for leading the Curriculum, Teaching & Learning for our Year 7 - 12 students across 2 campuses within all of the English & Humanities curriculum areas including English, History, Economics & Business and Civics.

This unique opportunity includes the development of partnerships across campuses, promoting the school through academic achievement, signature pathways & extra-curricular activities.

This role gives you the opportunity to work in collaboration with Heads of Departments across both Pomona and Cooroy Campuses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
