About the role
As the Guidance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expert counselling and support to students on personal, social, emotional, and educational matters.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student wellbeing, resilience, and academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' individual needs.
- Deliver proactive programs and workshops that promote mental health, positive relationships, and career development.
- Assist students with career planning, subject selection, and post-school pathways.
- Support the school community in managing complex student welfare issues, including crisis intervention.
- Promote the school's values of Respect, Belonging, and Growth in all interactions with students and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student feels valued and empowered.
