Veritas Education is working closely with a welcoming secondary school in Dewsbury to recruit a Graduate Cover Supervisor. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is considering a future career in teaching or education and is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

  • Supervise whole classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff
  • Deliver pre‑set lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students with their learning and encourage engagement
  • Work across a range of subjects including English, Maths, Science and Humanities

    • The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A degree in any subject (2:2 or above)
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and education
  • Confident communication and classroom presence
  • Strong behaviour management skills or the willingness to develop them
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
