Are you looking for a rewarding role within secondary education? Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Teacher to work across a range of secondary schools in Rochdale on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience in secondary schools.

The Role
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson
  • Support learning across a variety of subjects
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Build positive relationships with staff and students
    • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confident leading a classroom independently
  • Adaptable, professional and reliable
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
