About the Role:

Reporting to the Principal or delegate, the Facilities Officer will:

  • Coordinate the daily operation and management of school facilities, grounds and assets.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion of works.
  • Supervise and support facilities staff, contractors and service providers.
  • Manage access permits, keys, alarms and site security arrangements.
  • Coordinate the hire and use of school facilities and fleet vehicles where applicable.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet safety, security and operational standards.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, procurement activities and stock requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, registers and compliance documentation.
  • Support the implementation of the school's Facility Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety obligations.

About You:

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Experience in facilities, property, asset or maintenance management.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team.
  • Competence in administrative systems, budgeting and record management.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service within a school environment.
