About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and ambitious secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving English department committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and literature. The school is seeking a teacher who can motivate students to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculumDifferentiate learning to meet the needs of all studentsMonitor and track student progress, providing regular feedbackMaintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievementSupport students in developing their literacy, analytical, and communication skillsContribute to departmental planning and enrichment activitiesThe Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Has experience teaching English in a secondary school settingDemonstrates strong subject knowledge in English Language and LiteratureHas excellent classroom management and organisational skillsIs passionate about raising attainment and inspiring young peopleCommitted to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleECTs are encouraged to applyWhat the School Offers
